Knights of Honor
Knights of Honor: A FAITH-BASED running club for boys
This program is designed to develop each boy’s ability as a runner and will emphasize Christian principles as well as character development, and how to implement both into everyday life and activities. The basic curriculum is based on Ephesians 6:10-18, which talks about “putting on the full armor of God”. The boys will receive a Knight’s Code of Conduct (based on scripture) and will be challenged to complete 7 quests during the 7 week session. These quests will be physical, spiritual, healthy living, and social. All of this while learning the sport of running and the benefits of setting and achieving a goal! Each class will feature a workout, a running session, and a faith-based lesson on character development. They will also participate in a 5K run at the end of the session. At the conclusion of the 5K run, there will be an awards ceremony where each boy will be officially knighted as a Knight of Honor! They will receive a medal and a certificate at this ceremony.
