Food Program – Fighting Hunger; Fueling Futures
The Decatur County Family YMCA is a four-year sponsor of the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). This is a program that offers free meals to any Decatur County resident 18 years and younger. Not only will these meals help hundreds of children get the nutrition they need for good health, but it will also help alleviate the strain on family food budgets when school is out.
Please call Penni Bostelman at the YMCA if you are interested in this program. This program is funded in part by the Indiana Department of Education: Office of School and Community, Walmart, and the United Fund. Meals are prepared by the Decatur County Community Schools and meet all USDA regulations.
